This site is really awsome with a great/simple portfolio display and easy access to everything. I simply love that when you view a site from the portfolio the site freezes itself untill you reactivate it!
I love a site that is enjoyable to be at!

I'm sorry RevoGiant but I don't feel the same way as you. I want information and I want it yesterday. the grey text stuff (I don't even know what it was because it dissappeared so fast) has to be delt with. The splash page has got to go (what's the point of it other than taking 5 seconds out of my life). The portfolio items on the cubes didn't tell me anything. I could go on but I won't.
Verdict: Not cool
edit: if this was an attempt at self promotion I'd say it was a brave one. It is a mildly amusing site but it just doesn't turn my crank.

CanadianGuy, did you try to rollOver those cubes :to:
I think it's a really good site fith d*mn fine portfolio. Wow.
One really disturbing thing was that I turned the music off and every time I 'visited outside link' and continued I turned back to on. Have to turn it off after every page in the portfolio :(

The you clicked an outside link is practically stolen straight from plotdev... and its ugly (the outside link page). The website is alright other than that, although I'm not a fan of the useless 3d models you can drag which take ages to load and serve no purpose (unless i missed something?).

ok... nice attempt at 3d... but the transitions don't have it... the animals are a cute use of primitives.. but thats it... i don't like having to rollover everything to get info.. like CanGuy.. i want to know now.. don't want to have to work for my knowledge....

The website has not been throughly developed from the obvious spelling mistakes and that is why its not a Kool Site. There isn't much interaction with only a white background and loading times are slow, this environment isnt good for users. Users want to see information instantly with something that keeps them in touch and want to see it over and over. Accessibility is a fault in the website and that needs to be rectified. Not a Kool Site in my opinion.

No spelling mistakes on the french version =)
I like it. Not the best I've seen so far but some of the 3d models are quite amusing, especially the bee =)
good job
edit: @minimalistik: "J'aime Musique de Maison" we call it "house" as well, not "maison"...

hey wow,
first of all thanks to all who took the time to write a critic (or what you think), i smiled when i saw the first few comments on self promo, well it wasn't. I'm the one who made this site and i enjoyed reading all your comments, good and bad.
this site wasn't made to be 'perfect', i made it in a rush after having my computer hacked and lost most of my creations...... then recently a client asked me what i could do so i dicided to make a simple interface to present 'my stuff' on cd-rom. One thing lead to another and i finnished by uploading "my simple interface" online.
I'm aware of the loading times and the lack of development of the 'information' sections, let's say they were 'added' afterwards and are far from done... i didn't think the site would have such a success (currently over traffic limit 'till next month)
i personally hate sites that are not 'complete', and it's the case of my own site right now, so for that very sorry.
To finnish, i'll say that i will note all comments and really try to make the best of it.
So i guess work for an upgraded version it officially started !
Tanks again

I like it, and dislike it at the same time.
It's not very intuïtive to browse around in. The small animations I do love though. But I'm a sucker for smooth fades :bounce:
The 3D-characters, well ... from the P.O.V of someone who's done some 3D-modelling, it's not very impressive. They're cute, but have bad details.
What I'd like to know though, how did you make those 360° drag-movies?
I mean, is it a series of images in one movieclip, where you go forward and backwards? Or is it something else? The quality looks quite sharp I must say. No real trace of compression. How did you achieve this?

I think its awsome that the designer saw the post. I love the fact that good designers tend to be such reasonable open people about their work. I really appretiate the community of designers and those who enjoy our arts and how they usually take critisim of their work so well as Gaf did. My hat is off to all those making a reputable honest effort in a world so obbsessed with greed and attachment to negative compitition. yay for kirupa and good and bad designers who stay true and open.

Do a search on the forums for sound effects, you'll find tonnes of site. I think ultrashock has some for a start.
