Could I get your views on this?

http://www.picture4.me.uk

Nearly completed, just adding the final sections for the mini menu.
Oh....there is also a section button at the top of the page that takes you to a different gallery (the coffee lounge).
Please let me know if you think it needs to be more obvious?

Thanks in advance all.

Get rid of that pesky pattern. Reminds me 90's. I like the transitions. The navigation bar is awful, as well. I don't like these poppin' up buttons (sorry, not in this case) + the headlines are blurry (for buttons: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash5/advroll.htm) If you use pixel fonts, make sure you have a whole number for the postion (for pixel fonts: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/pixelfonts.htm). The music scared me a little, as I wasn't expectin' it. The always turning symbols, ex., "c" & "m" are very annoying. Plus, if it's a button, it must look like a button/must have some hint, I dunno. The font in the preloader isn't readable. When I switched off the music and moved further to the next section, it, the music, started to play again. "But I switched it off, already", I thought. So, everytime I switched to another section, I had to rush to the site, switchin' off the music. It seems like the logo, or what is it(?), "Picture4me" is made in this way so big, so that to cover the space. One more thing: there's no Contact button outside. I just saw "Contact" in some section, pushin' "m" symbol. But if a person watchin' the site wants to send you a mail, what must he do? Check all sections hopin' to find the d*mn "Contact" button? That's it. I didn't dig deeper, so can't say anything else. Ppl would enlarge corrections/improvements/critique, by all means.

i agree with tommy... th emain thig i didn't like was all the vector going on lagging my system.... i noticed the paint pallete was vector too... not neccesary.... also with the coffe lounge... the zoom in zoom out thing.. really got annoyin... cut that part out and have the canvas fly up...

but if you worked on it a bit... i think you'd have a winner....

yeah - most of the stuff has been said by tommy s etc.

biggest problem i had was that it was really slow for me. im on broadband so dunno what's going on. - though some of the large sections were really unneccessary - like i clicked to see examples (emphasis on plural) of manipulation and there was a large animation with really unneccessary text effects and snow and rastor images - all of which clog download size.

that was my biggest thing - most of the other stuff has been said.

my tip: keep it simple and to the point.

but i love that manipulation image of the guy screwing his face up - it's awesome lol.

i really like some of what you've done with some of the animation; it's very different and fresh. it definitely needs some fine tuning though. i didn't feel like reading through the other posts, so things may be repeated. here goes...
- there's a lot of lag that needs to be fixed.
- the typed out text animation is annoying
- menu pixel fonts are blurry
- your audio control is too subtle
- when you click a menu item, it should go down and stay down. now it bounces up again.
- the html page needs a title
- the m and c circular buttons are really obnoxious. they (especially the m) need something like a hover caption to indicate where they go. even if you have a description of the m button in the paragraph text, not everyone will read that.
- it looks like you're tweening the transitions. AS and easing might make the animation smoother.
- the textured background is lame, but i can live with it if the animation is smoother
