Apple + Photoshop + Server?

I have a problem when I save a photoshop file on a mac it usually gives the image a "thumbnail" icon. But when I put it on our server it loses the icon?

specs:

G5
Apple OSX
Photoshop CS
server = windows 2000

how can I retain the icon?

Theres a special resource file that runs that lets you view it i think... no clue really... maybe the server doesn't handle em... ty installing ps on the server
