hey i am doing a HTML section for a site that i am doing for my portfolio. this is the start. i did it real fast, but i think it looks somewhat decent.

the only thing I saw was a beautiful clean and white page :P

The splash page was just a giant broken image.
As for the content inside...... I think you need more, it is hard to give advice when you just started and have nothing done yet.

If you want to gain some valuable critique from others, I would recommend completing more of your site. Otherwise, people wouldn't have anything to analyze.
That aside, I would recommend not having a splash page at all. Most pages don’t require a splash page, only those with HTML/Flash/High Bandwidth/Low Bandwidth options. In your case, you just have a giant enter button - a little unfriendly to those who are on dial up. Just a thought...

thanks for the advice, i intend to do a flash page in the near future. that is why the splash is even there. i posted because i expected to have WAY more done, but unfortuanatly time worked against me.
