extending dynamic textfield?

hello,

I have a dynamic textfield which updates from a textfile. The textfile grows constantly so I want the textfield to grow accordingly without having to update the .swf.

I have added a component scrollbar to it, but since I don't have any text in the box before I load it, the scrollbar is disabled. What can I do?
