Favorite Nintendo Franchise

I'm just curious here. With the Revolution launching next year (tentitivly) I was just wondering what Nintendo franchises you were looking forward to. For me personally, it's got to be Zelda but I know there are a ton of others choices, what is yours?

Man, the system is so cheap right now that both of those games make the system MORE than worth it. RE4 is the best game I have played this generation. Hands down.

Alot of Zelda people here. I myself never actually played Zleda EVER! & im serious! Anyway my fav is Metroid, its my fav game of all time, iv played most of them on the different consoles and love it. My fav being the Super Metroid on Super NES. Second game is Mario...

RE4 isn't exclusive to the GC. They're making a PS2 version as well (and last I heard they were having trouble keeping the poly count on the characters up for the PS2 version) and an XBox version from what I've heard. They won't be out for about another year

I was just going to say the same thing Krilnon :)

Also, the new Xbox is scheduled to come out at the end of this year... I cant' see Capcom taking the time to make this game for the Xbox when the Xbox2 is coming a month later. But ya know, stranger things have happened. Also, about the ps2 version having problems keeping up with the poly count and such, apperently that has been proven false (IGN) - false in the fact that it was never said. Not false in the sence that it's having problems. There has been no official word. To be honest, I can't see it keeping up with the Cube. Although, after seeing GT4 running on the PS2, I am VERY impressed with what they were able to push outta that out of date system.

And Grim, Capcom didn't make any mistakes. Most all of the franchises they said would be exclusive for the GC have come out, or are coming out on the ps2. Viewtiful Joe 2 and Killer 7 come to mind as prime examples.

Mega Man is indeed a Capcom franchise but was developed for the Nintendo over the years. Didn't realize it was for Nintendo only..... i will go crawl under that rock over there :(

B3NKobe - I am surprised as well man.. I thought there would be many more Metroid fans especially after the 2 awesome games on the GC.

I guess it's just like we all knew all along though - Zelda Rules the Universe. I cannot wait for this new game. I wish I could go to sleep now and wake up the day before it comes out so I could camp out at a store and be the first person to get it.

Yes I am a geek. And yes Sen you couldn't ever match me when it comes to video games, but I have a feeling you would be good competition when it comes to dvd's and movies :)

Well RE series was exclusive to Nintendo maybe now they saw the error of their ways and are making the game for other systems, but im most definitely sure that RE was exclusive for the cube at least RE4 was maybe that has changed which is great dont get me wrong but to me its still exclusive since the cube is the only system that has it available as of right now.

The same goes for GTASA its only on teh PS2 for now rumors say theres gonna be a xbox version i dont think its not a possibility but cmon by the time it reaches xbox PS2 or PS3 will have the next version of the game so its still exclusive in my eyes.

Non exclusive games to me are games that are released simultaneosly on all systems that way no company has the chance of claiming exclusiveness of a title for any period of time.

Thats just me but i do hope its true and they release RE4 on other systems since it is the best RE game to date no more prerendered crap :thumb:

Zelda. Easy. Games try to copy its formula, but how many of them are still around? There's one for PS2 due out sometime this year that either EGM or GMR voted ahead of Zelda for most anticipated game of the year, but according to the reader polls, Zelda is. It's been number 1 ever since it was announced.

I don't think that there is a Nintendo series I don't love. Sure, even PokeMon seems very kid-ish, but its still a very solid RPG.
