I have to design and develop a prototype for a corporate dynamic website
I am giving some details and info about the website... :)
Any idea......?

The temporary audience will be a web development team.
Real audience of this site are general public including customer, prospective vendors and investors.
Website Content
Complete History and profile of the compnay
current projects
future planning
news, articles (will be updated on periodic basis)

Requirements
30-50 pages corporate feeling
5-7 flash pages ( don;t know....what to do on these 7 pages )
Site map
Site Searching Facility
Registeration at multiple search engines
vistors' contact form

Architecture
Linux based server
pdf files for financial reports, investors guides or nay other downlaods

Now what they need from me ?
A prototype....only the home page.....which will consist

flash header
complete layout...having a corporate look
a color scheme for logo
and hey...they...love use of CSS

so.....guide me with this.....i need ideas.... :ear:

Ask for some examples of some sites they like or they lean to... and give us a more detailed description of what type of company they actually are. From there I think we could help you better. Those are also things that should've been included in your "syllabus". 50 pages is a lot... yikes.

You could go search for CMS on sourceforge.net.That will give you a base to develop the pages on and an idea about the technical issues. As regarding the price.. you can calculate that on an hourly rate or per project, but I wouldn't go under 700$ for such a big project.

yeah dont skimp on what you charge... when they get someone to do the actual site thats going to be like 20K so they obviously have some dough to through at this project, and it shows its important to them ;)
