ok, has anyone tried creating a .txt file in notepad and then saving it as a .exe file and then tried to delete it? this is under xp btw. anyway, for some reason it refuses to be deleted....

im thinking it's some kinda glitch anyway, a freind of mine sent it to me as a joke or something and now i can't get rid of it. really really annoying. at whats worse is that you can edit it in notepad and save it but not delete it. weird...

Can't you just rename it back to test.txt? I'm not going to try it. I'm afraid I won't be able to delete it

I tested it out also, and I had no problems deleting the EXE file. I'm on XP SP2 also. Is there some trick that you are pulling on us all haha?

XP Pro SP1, deletes without a hitch.

What have you done to your computer?!

then again, I'm the admin on my computer. Maybe that has something to do with it.

What does exe stand for anyway? it's an application, which would be an .app :ponder:

well, i am not playing around. i really cannot delete it. curse notepad files (.txt) and it's ability to make non-existant executables.
