orb help

i have been tryin to do the shiny orb

and i am following the tut but step 6 is confusing, when we only made 1 circle and whr did the other 1 come from

Which shiny orb tut? There are two... I'm guessing you mean the one in Flash, where it clearly states in step six to copy and paste the first circle.

i am doin the flash one
yes it says the first circle but we only drew one circle and tht isd the gradient applied one

Worked fine to me.

You have 2 circles after you paste the first one.

If you go through the tutorial thoroughly it will work and make perfect sense (at least it does to me)

I got problem with Flash Shiny Orb tutorial too...

it gets really confusing bet ween step 5 and 6...

please someone fix it...

I just read it through and it makes perfect sense to me! I don't understand what all the commotion is about :h:

Yes actually it does make perfect sense

In part 2. it says get out the oval tool and draw a circle and then it mentions about the gradient you use.

then is section 6. it says:

Select the first filled circle and copy it (Ctrl+C), create a new layer and "Paste it in Place" onto the new layer (Ctrl+Shift+V).

So now you've got one on the back with a linear gradient and one on a layer above that with a radial gradient.
Then in section 8. it says

Make another copy of the circle by selecting the second filled circle and copying it (Ctrl+C). Then create a new layer and "Paste it in Place" onto the new layer (Ctrl+Shift+V).

So now you've got the back circle the second circle and now the front circle (with another radial gradient)

It all makes perfect sense. Listen to Syko It all makes perfect sense

I am having touble with this tut as well

It says to create a circle (line and fill) in a movie clip
change the gradient to linear, select the circle (assuming fill and line ) copy it and paste in place in a new layer, then change the gradient on the circle fill on the new layer to radial.
This actually copies/ pastes the symbol in the new layer and when I apply the radial gradient to the pasted circle which is a symbol, it edits the symbol, i.e., the first circle which is inside the same symbol.
So now the first and the second symbols have a radial gradient in them. Is that the way it is supposed to be?
I am probably doing something wrong but I cannot tell what, I have been trying to follow the instructions closely but gets stuck at that same place again. Also there is really only one circle when step iv says" Select the first filled circle and copy it

Could you please tell me what am i not getting there?
