How can I start?

I have to be web designer can you organise me a book and c.d where I teach my self
its very important because I only stick on kirupa tutorial its not enought

Well unofrtunatley I don't know of any book that is good for the absolute beginner, I think the best thing to do is probably mess around and try figure out the basics yourself with the aid of the web THEN go and get a book on I dunno - PHP etc....

there isnt just one book. Your gonna need one for each area of webdesign that you want to learn about. Flash, Actionscript, PHP, ASP, Dreamweaver, CSS, HTML, etc. are some topics for books you may want to look into. Just depends one what your working with and what you want to learn.
