Ok, I am going back to my projects that I was working on before I began helping out a few people. I have a few posts I was doing for a while and I wanted to get back to my other stuff like Totem.:bad: To see the beggining development for that CLICK HERE (http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84807) . I am also currently working on a multi-player based game. Coming out good so far for layout. And what I need for it is some good music. Anyone got any ideas? Or perhaps a good place to visit?

try getting a hold of Reason 2.5 with the samples and refill packs, the download will be around 1.8gb but its a really good application, its not for real beginners tho be warned :P alternativly for things other than music, get somthing like cooledit pro and a mic and start making those silly noises :>
oh and garageband for the mac isnt too bad either at botching samples together.

From what my friend told me about cake walk is that it allows you to modify and create sounds/music. And record your voice, + change it too.:D

FruityLoops is a great way to introduce rythmic patterns into your game. It's fast, easy to learn and has great results.
I've played with Reason and it's worth it if you have a studio to work on... but it's not worth the learning curve for a small game.
Acid is a great program, much like Fruity in it's ease of use.
I use to play with Cakewalk alot.. It's also a nice program as well.
I would suggest out of everything, stick with Fruityloops though, it'll give you the best results for what you are trying to do.
