What sucks about CSS though... is no recoil on anything. While yea... means you can kill ezier... but man... no recoil? come on it's like UT. Textureing and the smoke nades rock though! And I lub how the flashes desensitize you.

Yeah there is recoil, it totaly makes a difference. The AK sucks unless you crouch and tap it (for long-range shots).

I don't crouch much with the AK - I tend to rattle off a few shots while standing and only crouch if it's a really long distance.

I always try and crouch with the AK, I find my finger on the crouch button all the time, as soon as I see an enemy, I just press it. It's become a habit lol.

the ak thing. In source, you can just run tapping the trigger and rape ppl, but heck, it sure still is awsome. The hl2 engine is amazing

ugh, the autosnipers piss me off.. they're useful sometimes (like on the bridge in de_aztec) but in general they're overpowered.

In your system video options... not the game options, check to see if your v-sync is on... if it is force turn it off.

also in console type max_fps 300

and rate 99999

I didn't know vsync didn't make a diff... i know it doesn't in PRE-CSS but since CSS had upgraded graphics, and a new engine... it was only a guess. And no I didn't think you had your FPS to under 10, but doesn't hurt to try to boost it. My average FPS in CS, is 110 and in CSS is 90. So ya never know.

actually it does... My fps could be over 80 at some moments but I keep it at no more than 60 cuz I have loads of netcode problems... My bullets never reach the server. With fps_max at 60 I set cl_cmdrate close to 70 and cl_updaterate to about 40-50 so the server shouldn't miss any of my packets but it still does.
rate 20000 and cl_rate 9999... these don't seem to make a difference no matter what I do with them ... for osme odd reason .-/

Just a minor suggestion, how about adding kF as an poll option? I've noticed a few members with the clan name [K] already (in UT2k4 at least), kirupa seems too long to pronounce/remember, and TK does remind me of team killer or the .tk domain hehe.

I play CSS frequently on east-coast servers. I have cal-m experience, though my clan is now more of a family than anything...and a family that mostly plays 1.6 ; )

If you guys want to start scrimming or playing CAL I'd love to join up -- as long as it's just for fun. I don't have time for real practices. And I think [K] looks best : )

Best maps - militia, iceworld, tides, aztec, and dust2

Mmm.... dust2 owns all... iceworld too... although I get banned from every single iceworld server cause I shoot clear threw the big block of ice and kill ppl in spawn. i personally don't care for maps that are too one sided, italy, assault, militia... those 3 inparticular are T sided, and since I always do random... about 98% it bounces me to CT cause everyone hurries to T (stat whores)

Yeah it's about that. If anyone suggests a cheaper alternative I will gladly use it instead, but Combat Servers is a very popular company, and their servers are pretty sweet.
