That is funny. They would be in a sea of pennys. They would have to shut down to calculate them all. The ycould easaly avoed this though. After about a day or two of pennys they would make it ilegal to pay with pennys. If you did pay with pennys u would get a tickit as if you didn't pay. How ould we get around that?

sorry, we drive on FREEways out west. Our Tax dollars are used to fix the road. I think toll booths suck, but the idea behind it is, the people who drive on the road the most, are the biggest contributors to it's maintenance fund. But if i lived back east, id be down for a penny protest.

LOL, speaking of which... yesterday at school, I wanted a cola from the vending machine down the hall :P
Whats phunny is, I was too damn lazy to go the bank the day before, so I had like a handful of the smallest change in DK.
A cola costs 12,50 kr there, and it's 4x25øre per kr!
so I stuffed the machine with 50 tiny coins to get my friggin soda! :P
Took forever :)

The legal limit is 1 US Dollar for being able to refuse pennies as payment. So unless they jacked the price of tolls to above a dollar, they can not refuse to accept pennies as payment. Good idea Phil. Can't tell you how many times I have chucked a handfull of pennies in the Cumberland toll cause I was running late, and didn't have exact change on me. Make a good use for all the useless change though. If IDoT took out the toll booths I am convinved that Chicago traffic would improve quite a bit. =o)
Cheers!
