Myself, own my own server company with a rich friend (he pays for everything). We mainly host game servers on an multiple OC connections (like counter-strike and other online games) but we also host web sites! MYSQL, mail, PHP, the list goes on! I'm working on the main site right now!

I use SBC owned webhosting.com (unless a client is adament about ising something else). They have EXCELLENT tech support, very good pricing, blazing fast and never down... I mean SBC does maintain over 62 million connection nodes! So you'd expect that level of professionalism. I've heard great things about media temple too, however I cant speak from experience as I havent used them yet.

Peace

Media Temple is only as good as they say it is when you get the unique packages like www.shadowness.com and www.2advanced.com but I wouln't ever being under them if I didn't host myself!

I have my own box sitting in an ISP in way up North California. I get great bandwidth, and I know the owners of the ISP, so I get great service and great prices.

I use Rogers @ Home here in Canada.

When you sign up they give you an option to have up to 7 email address and with each of those you also have an option for 10 megs of webspace. In most cases this is lot's of room to host a site as long as it isnt too huge.

I traded my friend a crappy computer for unlimited space on his servers. I get access to everything including E-mail and stuff. Good times.
