This is a site I'm working on to replace the current website for this team...

any comments? questions?
does it look good for everyone?
its about to go into production within a week or so I'd like to get some input so I can make any changes in the next day or 2 thanks again

PS this site isn't related to the other critique I asked for earlier although it is hosted at the same spot until the client transfers thier domain to a new hosting company

looks photoshoppy to me. the rounded edges on everything, texture fills, royal blue on black, and times new roman all make this look sort of early days of photoshop.

i think that just by changing the colors (ie pick blues that go well together) and switching arial for times new roman, you can improve a lot. i'd also like to see it with a white background. the purplish blues in the content sections need to be changed, either to a light grey or a blue that fits better.

I think you should change the banner and the fonts you use in the banner. I think that would help the overall look of the site. bwh2 is right... it looks very much like the early days of photoshop. Just keep working at it.

ok the font ideas and color ideas sound good... I'll give those a shot.... can't stray 2 far from the blues though since its the sponsers color I'll look into a new design for the banner so you think a no go on the rounded rectangle? should I go with angular or just a lesser roundness with some verticle edges on the sides? The white BG idea sounds good I haven't looked at it with a white BG yet as I alway start my docs with a black BG for visibility it helps objects stand out while I'm designing. as far as the texture fills, what else could I do to add some depth to it I really don't want it to look flat
