MP3 to MIDI

My friend got this great directory for cellphone ringtones, but they're all in .mp3 format. The sounds are all MIDI sounds too, is there anyway to convert them? As I'm typing this, I don't think it's possible already.

i'm pretty sure it isn't possible. midi isn't a sound format, it's a set of instructions that tell the playback device wat to do. thats why there so small
