not loving the pixel stretch, doesnt fit with the oldy worldy thang. why not merge some kinda forest backgd into the patterned paper... needs a bit of depth i rekon

It's very nice but I don't really like the combination of what you've put on there, it's like different themes mixed together. Maybe it's just me being a pain in the *** cuz it really is a nice wallpaper!

Well for the most part it looks pretty decent. I think that the pattern on her face is to overbearing, and the pixel stretching where her hair is, since it's all black, is way to abrassive for the image. Maybe if it was tapered off a little more or even gradiating into the brown a little. It's to in your face and is a huge void.

LoL, the gnome is tight though. There are a few places that need to be touched up on your clipping. The shoes, the top of the hat and on the left arm, there are a few places that could be masked out more. I think the "glow" should prolly be more of a light brown glow not a pure white, it doesn't flow w/ the image and it detracts from it as well.

I personally don't like the font... but I see that you were tryin to go for a little fantasy look. What if it was a clean simple Serif font, Times or something like that. With the size variations like you have now.

thank SP, always a "cunning critter" - It is a bit sloppy, but was done for a quick bit of headspace, in the middle of lunch.and yeah i think Times / marlborough typeFace would have better.

Schampi - I totally agree, the styles are all added and mish mashed together, and it has too many styles all added together with no flow.

time for the real real critique, the elf thing is real nice.....not feeling the pixel stretch. Also the logo would probably look pretty nice to the left of the verbage. Right now it kinda disrupts things IMO. Also with that haze around the elf, what would be tight is if you gave the impression of slight rain bouncing off of him. Anyway man. yea I nit-picked you but the piece is nice.
