why does everyone think "chuck" means eat or chew? where i come from, chuck means "throw". Now a woodchuck is a relatively small animal, maybe 13 pounds. They have little tiny hands and short arms. So they aren't going to be picking up any big logs or anything. Maybe some twigs or small pieces of branch. i'd say if a woodchuck came across a medium sized branch weighing say 5 pounds, and it was in his way, he'd probably pick it up and chuck it out of the way.
