I read somewhere that it was due to the amount of heat they gave off. It would probably make soup of any motherboard in a laptop case.

I like the harddisk locking mechanism.. that's pretty neat.

Well, their CFO described a G5 laptop as the "mother of all thermal challenges" (http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=836), so . . .

Yeah it's all about the cooling, the G5 is one hot processor.

We wont see one until 2006 probably, they will crack it eventually :D

Oh man, the rumors website regulars are gonna be really pissed.

They've been expecting a G5 Powerbook (HA I almost wrote "poserbook," oops) for months now.

Well, I've seen a couple of places pointing out that IBM has a similar feature. Haven't really looked into it myself since I'm not in the market at the moment.

An acceleration sensor to lock the hard drive when it senses acceleration. Basically to protect the drive if the laptop gets dropped. It does have a light sensor too for the key backlighting if I'm not mistaken.

Yep, it has a light sensor which will fade the underlit keyboard up or down depending on the light around it.

So if you have a dimmer, dim the lights and the underlighting will slowly dim up, it looks so **** cool.
