sweetness.. I should take a pic of my shop. It's not nearly as cool as that equipement, but it's still droolworthy. Some of the equipment is over 20 years old, (and still chugging along) but many of our systems are top of the line too.
In case anyone is interested - I work for a multi billion dollar atmospheric chemical company. Personaly I monitor the backups of all mainframe work, as well as all routers across the globe. It's a pretty cool job for all the agrivation I deal with.

Sounds like an interesting job. My computer networking teacher was on my case about getting my CCNA, since my friend and I are the only 2 students to actually complete all 4 semesters of the Cisco Networking Course.
I decided after I graduated that I didn't want to do computer networking, so I am in debate on going for my CCNA Certification. It is a good thing to have as a backup, but it isn't what I want to do :-\

WOW! That looks really nice. I didn't know 2Advanced was that large of a company? I knew that a few people worked there, but this is just outstanding.
Cheers!

well, they do charge quite a penny for each site they make. working in a place like that would definitely drive me to making beautiful sites. but that's probably not how it works there.

When I worked for DigitalThink (during the bubble) the "lunchroom" had 4 Sub_Zero refrigerators with an insane variety of soft drinks, snacks, water, etc. Then there was the pool table, boxes of bags of chips, a candy vending machine which took no money, and on Fridays, along about 3:30 PM they would have a manditory jello shot party. If you didnt join them in the lunchroom by 4:00, you got 2 warnings and the power in your section of the building went off....
They were serious about this party!
It was a fun place to work.

Now, after the bubble is a 700 sq ft apt in the Theater Dist. in SF...
life changes...

That place looks fantastic!
I am jellous of the jobs you guys have had :) I am just starting out right now ( I just graduated school) and I am working in an office by my self :( )I have a great computer and a 2 monitor set up but it's NOTHING compared to anything described here! I wish I had a manditory Jello Shot competition to attend every friday :)!
But I guess you have to start somewhere, at least I have a job - it could be much worse.

right out of highschool (around sept 11 maybe kirupa remembers this) i worked as a MIDI sound cooridinator. All i did basicaly is listen to music all day making sure it fit the songs they were producing for this kareoke machine. it was a sweet job in La, offices liked like the 2advanced, since they were out of cubicles when i got there they decided to give me my own office, with a glass semitransperent door. it was great :) SO mostly i went on line and looked at flashand took advantage of their broadband...oh did i mention i had a secretary that brought me cofee and pastries every day? :)
