And for my second submission, here's a nice 2x2 school. Hope nobody minds the large size. I know I'm missing something, so comments/suggestions would be much appreciated... and yes, I'm aware the American flag has more stars and stripes than that. ;)

The top part of the school doesn't feel connected to the bottom part for some reason... feels like it floats a little above.

There has to be a line between them but not a black one, only a tad darker then the surrounding colors. I think it's in most of the tutorials.

You should get rid of the other black outlines of the building too imo. I really like your building though. Your windows are a little greenish too.

Sorry about the American flag. I didn't even think about that. If anyone has any ideas for a Kirupa-ville flag or something, I'd be happy to put them.

I removed the black lines altogether, added a shadow, and changed the windows. The reason they looked a little greenish was because I did the transparent-thing and did some blue windows on top of a green chalkboard, which looked a little weird.

thesparky007: A lot of high schools have basketball courts / fields / other stuff... sorry, but I'm going to have to leave it in there.

OK, and here's a version with a simple blue K flag. Sorry, guys, but I don't think I can change the basketball area into a soccer field, or anything. It's too small to fit anything significant, and I really stand by where I put the court in the first place. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can make the basketball court better, though, I'd be up for that...

It looks really nice galapagos. I can't see the actual basketball pole, so you may want to use a lighter shade for the basketball pole, and you should add the 3 point line and such just for added effect :) Also, the basketball court suits that location well.

IMHO, I would add some windows on the south face of the school. Even some rectangular windows high up the wall (invoking the thought of a gymnasium inside) would make it look more full.

Another thing that is entirely up to you, but my school has their logo (our sports teams are the Cougars) painted on one of our walls outside. Maybe something like that?

OK, I added some lines on the court... based on what I could remember, which probably isn't much. I lightened the pole a bit, but I think it might blend into the fence too much :O Also, I added some nice and tall windows on the side... which are semi-transparent to show one giant gym inside. Hope the effect works...

How would I go about fixing this? Like, add another wall deeper into the gym? Oh, and by the way... are there any other important changes I should make before this can be "built"?

the wall might be ok... but change the floor color.... its kinda green which also makes it look like there is no floor....

OK, I made the floor color a little more brown and added a back wall to close off the gym a bit. And if nobody has any more suggestions, I'd say this is just about finished...

I say color in the windows. It still doesn't look right. Why can you see in the front windows, but not the side windows?

I was considering putting stuff on the roof, but it seemed too shiny and bare to have to put stuff on it. :P Where would I put them, and what color should they look like?

Personally I'd just make the roof gray and recessed or something, It looks so odd having the roof be that brick color too. I think it would help out a lot. It's cool though, nice job :)
