Hey gang!

I'm trying to get my own site together (finally), and I wantet a few crits while I'm working on it...

things I'm already aware of:

- colors need some work, especially the idle faded blue background).
- not all transitions are done yet, as well as the content. the box transitions are just there for testing purposes.

Anyhoo, throw some ideas/crits my way :)

Pretty darn cool!

One thing I noticed - the text motion of the buttons is way too fast IMO. But overall, excellent site!

Did you try another background?

no I haven't had time to try out other colors yet... I'll give it a peek this evening tho. and I have a lot of text adjustments to make, THAT I know too... ;)

hmmm i think its a god start but im not sure about the colours and fonts on the buttons...

i really like the 'main' intro and think you should build upon that blue and white scheme... with a darker grey too.

there are too many colours at the minute for my taste... also its very small, how are you going to fit the content?

Ahhh! I agree the menu text motion is way to fast. Looks good though

I love this! you BETTER finish it!

I think all the colors are necessary for visual determination of sections. I love the animation and whole feel of the site. It's definitely a personal site, but somehow feels professional at the same time. I would change the nav font though, it doesn't match sir! at least there's no alias on it to fit with the bg text and everythign else swooping around. I think letting it alias would soften it up some and look better.

as i said, you better finish it. :bad:

I like the colors and I like the speed. I like the first transition into main as well as about... just need to find equally cool transitions for the rest and you're set :pleased:

.. the only thing I didnt like is the "Welcome"

lol, everyone been telling me to change the nav font besides you guys too :P didn't know it was that bad :smirk:

Sen: actually, that welcome is just a mock-up for a logo presentation. All I need is a logo and a cool idea to show it tho... as well as the rest of the scenes, I'm gonna redo the orange transitions, I'm really starting to hate 'em :-/

everyone else: Thanks :P:beer:

ok guys, I changed the nav text animations, is it any better now?

Personally I like this solution better.. frees up the nav buttons too...

O I like the about transition! It's very nice, but I'm not really fond of the colors, that's subjective though.

definitely liking that nav animation and the font size better. It's so much fun to play with! :beam:

lol :P

any suggestions for transitions? I've been thinking about 'em for a few days now, and I can't really come up with any good ones... the intro is good, but that was like a freak coincidence...

I'm gonna scrap the orange transition..

Maybe a "peel off" transition? Like a poster slipping and falling off a wall to reveal something behind it. Or maybe a "TV power on" type transition, where it comes from the middle and zips horizontally, then vertically out, while slowly un-brightening the image at the end. I dunno. Just stupid ideas. :D
