Controling the dimensions of external movies

Hello,

I was wondering if there is anyway around a problem I am facing. I am fairly new to Flash. I want to load some external movies into a main movie. I read the relevant tutorial and that is fine.

However I want my external flash files to load into a square I have positioned in my main movie and be constrained by the dimensions of the square.

i.e even if the external flash movie is bigger than the square it should shrink to fit into it.

Can anyone help?

that sounds like it would be a lot of as... id suggest rethinking how u display ure work

or else do a forum search for 'resizing photo gallery'... im sure there is an xml onw you could modify

you could make it so only a section of that appears, by using a mask to fit it into thats square and shrink it.
