This site uses a really nice transition effect. very smooth change in size and shape as the different areas of the site are accessed, I've seen this done before on other sites so I thought i'd come here and ask if anyone knows of a tutorial or has an fla of this? (fla would be fantastic).

I'll stand on my head in custard if i get an answer to this http://www.flashkit.com/board/images/smilies/smile.gif

Thank you.

it's just won kirupa site of the week:

Hey Salvador,

My buddy Charlie from Braingiants.com has a tutorial that shows just how to achieve this bouncing/stretching effect. Go to www.braingiants.com (http://www.braingiants.com) and go the the Portfolio section of his site. Under the 'Flash Modules' section is the Braingiants Bouncing/Resize effect with an actual .FLA file.

Hope this helps

Jon

WAVEshift,

Amazing coincidence - i just found that site and emailed charlie. The problem I have is that I downloaded his file but I can only get it to resize the jpg image. I don't understand how to load in different content for each page - a seperate swf for each page that loads in at levels preferably. Or internal movies if loading in external content is not possible.

If you're his friend and can persuade him to share that extra bit of info I would love you forever.

Thanks WAVE.

I'll talk to Charlie for you and see if he can personally email you back. He's very busy and gets a lot of emails from people with the same type of questions.

In the mean time, if he can't get back to you, I'll check into it myself and let you know.

Thanks

WAVE-

Thanks man. Yeah I imagine he's busy. If he can email me back that would be great. If you can help that would also be great too.

Thank you.

WAVEshift,

Here's a quick update - charlie sent me an email and said the following:

Give the movie clip that holds the image an instance name and
thisInstanceName.loadMovie(“yourfile.swf”);
That should do it.

i did give my clip an instance name and applied the script above to my button with a on press added. it loaded in my external file but the file was all squashed up.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Make sure that your size of the .swf is the same size or smaller than what you're trying to load it into. You need to make sure that the movie clip that holds the image is exactly the size of the .swf in order for the .swf file not to be squashed up.

ok it might be better if you all can actually see what's happening . it contains the fla of the main bouncing page and 4 swf files to load in. i have not included the fla files of these as the are just static fla files that are the same size as the number values on the buttons.

Thanks.

That site would be very good if the guy had remembered to include all files required to make things work in the examples section. The two i downloaded, i got error messages saying actionscript files had not been found - sloppy to say the very least :)

Thanks anyway.

icleric.

I also tried flashkit and macromedia forums - no one at flashkit can work it out and some news group user at macromedia said it was easy to do but didn't bother sharing the info with me.
