Hi everyone and thanks for reading....

a few questions and help is needed urgently for a job....

1. i have photoshop elements 1.0 (PE 1.0) on my home computer and i want to transfer it to my laptop. I have burned a CD with just the folder PE 1.0 in it, i've also burned the entire adobe folder in programs, and i've also uploaded the entire folder to my server and then downloaded it and nothing worked. Any ideas?

if no, proceed to question 2.

2. do you know of a site where i can get the PE 1.0 version and use my CD key that I already have? (and it's no where to be found on adobe.com, download.com, or cnet.com)

if you can't answer any of these questions...can you help me with animated gif's?

i need to make an animated gif and reading the "help section" isn't helping, i get lost and confused. so, if at all possible since i'm not very technical (i learned everything just by doing it) i don't know the tech terms for anything, so if you could walk me (or write out, or send me to a site) through making an animated gif that is super easy to understand...that would ROCK, then i wouldn't have to worry about getting my elements off my home computer.

I have photoshop versions 6.0, 7.0 and image ready.

please feel free to e-mail me or IM me at anytime:

thank you so much for your help!!

A.1 You can't copy the folder from one computer to a next.. it won't work because the program kinda has been weaved into windows... If it came with that computer.. it may be in a budle disk... bu ti'm not so sure wether teh EULA allows the transfer....

A.2 image ready has an animation maker here's a tutorial for that...

I'll see if i can find an easier tutorial

just adding the the answer for your first post, only a mac can tranfer applications like you tried, windows needs to have applications installed as it needs to set registries and other components within the windows operating system (system settings and all that jazz).

(and why do you need photoshop elements when you have photoshop 7?)

cause that's how i made animated gif's before i got my laptop. i'm not very fluent with photoshop 7 in that way....i guess i should learn huh? lol

When you save for web as a gif in PSE you can tick a box that is for animation. It then plays each layer one at a time.

I have PSE2.0 but I already had PS5.5 (and that comed with IR) so I havn't played around with PSE much
