this is sad and offensive to so many people but to be honest most of the people find it funny he can be this dumb
I'd love to have been the guy who said "Yeah, cool costume Harry. You're gonna be a big hit at the party". Hmmmm I wonder why his brother isn't in the picture with him ;)
anyway everyone knows you don't wear a desert nazi uniform...you wear the SS one, black suit and a long black leather trenchcoat. If you're gonna pi$s people off with your fancy dress costume you might as well look your best :thumb:

I think people took it too serious. It's Prince Harry, we all knew he was the crack baby to begin with, kind of didn't suprise me.

You should've eaten him when you had the chance, it would have been a royal meal.:bad:
Seems pretty stupid for the prince of a country to do...…

So he "made a mistake" and has "apologized" for it .... I'm just curious why the hell did he choose that costume to begin with? Is he just ph*ckin with the public at large? If he has a good enough spin doctor, he can always turn this around and blame the paparazzi... If his mom hadn't of died, he wouldn't have made the mistake of choosing that costume. Poor lad didn't have the guidance that only a mother can give *grin*.... eh... royals.... go figure ... ;)

It's a fancy dress party. When political correctness comes into it, we're all screwed.

Sure it was a bad choice, but he should still have the right to freedom of expression.

Someone tell me if I am wrong here.
Earlier on the bbc site they showed Harry's costume in proper view, with swastika on sleeve. Now that particular pic doesn't seem to be anywhere around. Were they "persuaded" to remove it by some shadowy lawyers, or am I just not finding the picture?

its not offensive... he is just a dumb idiot who likes to ake his life hard by not thinking with his pea sized brain!
one my mates has just gone to sandhurst and dressed up as osama at one of our parties... doesnt make him unfit to be an officer cos we all know the army is full of the most un politically correct people!
strange thing that given people who go to the army are prepared to kill for a living :P

true, every squadie I ever met was completly politically correct and a real diplomat for our nation.
yeah, right ;)
the squadie who was so drunk he could neither stand or stop vomitting, the one on drugs who had a fascination with womens breasts and finally the british squadie who told me he accidentally shot 2 american soliders in the first gulf war (not dead, one in the chest and the other in the leg, both we're ok....well, eventually).

I am the only one here who finds this costume choice EXTREMELY offensive? Actually, I find the theme of the party quite offensive too.
When you're a public figure, you HAVE to be politically correct. He's 3rd in line to the british throne for God's sake, he's not the average John Doe.

thats if you take the British throne seriously at all....
I'm beginning to think they only exist nowadays to give the newspaper scandal headlines. I think the Queen has a tough job and Charles perhaps a wee bit tough but the rest are a waste of space and time.

thats if you take the British throne seriously at all ....BINGO!!! I think its awesome and he is only highlighting what a joke the royal
family has become ... I mean it is nothing more than a sad death grip on the
past at this point. Everyone makes him out to be the reject out of the bunch ...
to me he seems to be the only one of them that understands how silly it all is
and I believe all of his "stunts" are not random acts of stupidity ... its more of
a big F U to a system that he was born into and has no choice in the matters by which he is being judged ... so cheers for him for giving everyone the finger on a regular basis.

Can you guys tell me is the royal family does actually do anything? I am not being sarcastic. My roomate and I were talking about it last night and neither knew. I mean you have the parliment and all.
Does the royal family make descisions or do they just take your tax money to live the high life and wave at parades?
By the way the nazi thing is pretty bad in my opinion.

The Queen represents GB, but the chief of Parliement is the PM. The Royals have no power of decision. It's an honorary role, but it seems important for the British, or they would have stopped having a queen.

Proves what I have alwasy told people - Down with the monarchy!
Funny how so many millions of people swore an oath to protect queen and country in the worst piece of the earths' history --- and this is how the royal family repay the war heroes?? makes me sick.
No doubt Harry will progress through the ranks quick in the armed forces, everyone I know if they saw him in the street they would chase him down.
I feel strongly about these upper class snobs, the whole lot of them are pathetic!
My Grandad was sickened at the images.

I was wondering the same thing as Fester. Why do you still have a monarchy? We just replaced them with celebrities here in the States. ;)
The Nazi thing was just dumb. It'd be like Jenna Bush wearing a Klan costume to a public party here in the States.
Super rich kids do dumb things because they can.

Osama isn't a facist leader who murdered 12 million Jews.
The royal family in this country is stupid, they are all German anyway ;P

If ambassadors are a waste of time then why do the UN and Unicef take on celebrity good will ambassadors??
I say that because the Royal Family are our ambassadors to the rest of the world. Unfortunately not all of them behave appropritely and Harry and Prince Andrew are examples.. but it doesnt mean we should do away with them.
The Queen, Prince charles and diana have raised the profile of countless good causes over the years and are fantastic ambsassadors for our country abroad. Sure they dont have a large influence over the governing of Great Britain, but their lack of power doesnt mean they are stripped of their global influence.
If some of my taxes goes to pay for them then so be it. How any of you Brits can imagine the country with no Royal Family or anything that goes with the notion is beyond me! why are we *****ing at them when we have a load of dole scum who are raping our country through benefits!!
believe it or not, most countries of the world respect the way we are as a nation and the way our so called 'snobs' behave.
for the guys who asked... the royal family all have different roles. most of them to do with charities and civic duties like opening ceremonies.

I'm not offended per se, more surprised that he actually made it to the party dressed like that without someone taking him to one side and saying "dude, this might not be the greatest idea you've ever had..."
Mind you, the eccentricity of the English upper class has long been a joke for Brits and non-Brits alike. I doubt that he set out to intentionally annoy people, it's more that he's simply not overly blessed in the brains department, the chump.

How do you guys know it wasn't an inside joke? I bet you all have done something much similair or worse than he has like this. (Acting mentally challenged, using the term "raped" when referring to computer games and such.)

Thank you so much for comparing the term "raped" to nazism. Now that's acting mentally challenged.

What I'm trying to say is that we have one picture of this, no words. And first off, it's frankly none of my business what he does so I could really care less, he's just a rich snotty kid... So what? It seems like you guys love to hate the upper class. I think of everything a different way, I simply don't care about them. You see neo-nazi skins walking on the streets wearing their little Nazi armbands, and they suck big-time. And then you see this kid do it, and suddenly it's such a terrible thing? It's always been a terrible thing no matter who does it. That's the point I was trying to get across Pomme_
