Hi everyone,

I`m trying to recreate thissort of illustration style. I have a phew photographs that I would like to tease with illustrations like the attached.
I remember that theres been some sort of PS action for that (If I`m not mistaken...???!).

Perhaps some of you have ideas.
thank you very much in advance for that.

There isn't an action that can do that for you. He took it in to a vector program... mostly likely Illustrator or Freehand and illustrated it out. The closest thing you could get in Photoshop would be different layers of colorized thresholds, if you're lookin for an easy way out... however it will look bastardized (sorry for the word dunno another term really).

This dude actually used flash for the colouring of it, i remember reading about him and this image in computer arts. I can't remember what issue and I can't be arsed getting up to find it. But I think he did all the drawing in freehand, it would have been easy to transfer it into flash.

Just a little addition, after the work was completed there was some photoshop workdone to include some text and texture.

Thanks people for the input. I figured that it really wasn`t some kind of script (meaning photoshop action) - I guess I was just trying to avoit the hard part, since my ability to draw, color and have the patience for the details is barely existing. Thanks again though for sharing your thoughts.

later,

Thing is though, if you have photographs, you can take them into Illustrator and trace them, which means you don't have to rely on freehand drawing skill. ;)

Thanks for the input,
