OK, we have a server that hosts an internal web site for my company. How would I get user stats for this site (for instance is this a feature of IIS/Apache or do I have to create my own little application to do this)
And also how would I fit a search engine only on this internal site. I don't want it searching the web...just this site. Any way to download something to do this, is this a feature of google, or do I have to create one?
any help is welcome :thumb:

I'm kinda fuzzy on what you mean by user stats but i think google has a site search thing because i have seen it done before on www.php.net . Im not sure if you have to pay or anything like that. A search "engine" for your site could be made out of php and you might be able to find those somewhere like www.hotscripts.com. I think this was what you where asking and maybe this helped :P

sorry reading it back it's not very clear what i mean by user stats
some hosting companies offer you the chance to view things like...
how may users visited this page today, or this page?
how many users did we have in total last month?
what percentage of mozilla users did we have in regard to IE users?
my hosting company does it for my site so I know it's possible. Anyone any ideas?

do you have access to the Raw user log files? If so go to http://www.computerbits.com/archive/2002/1200/tracking.html
Scroll to bottom and see the log analyzers out their.
