That's pretty cool. Any idea how much 'market share' that is?

W3Schools has Moz based browsers (Firefox, Mozilla, etc) as 21% - but they appeal to a more technology oriented audience, so I would think it was probably around 15%.

I just wish that I could completely dump IE. Right now, there are still things that I need IE for because they don't work properly in Firefox.
Will that day ever come? If it does i'm going throw a party.

Send the owner of the site a polite email telling them all about Firefox and about how their site doesn't work with it. Don't flame them, be polite - you'd be surprised about how well it works ;)
If that doesn't work, dump 'em (unless it's absolutely vital) :P

I'm willing to be that firefox's issues will be worked out soon enough. I mean they are only on version 1. What do you think version 6 (IE's current version) will be like?

What a glorious day it will be when we all have the option to use either Mozilla or IE and not have to worry about compatibility.
I have been using Mozilla for about 2 years now and it's so great. I recently formated and tried to use IE with all the updates and such, you know, giving it a fair shot. It lasted about 2 min. With no tabbed browsing it's usless to me now.

I love it! It's the best!
I'm glad there is so much great software, and free ones that is, and are much better than what mS has to offer, atleast i have been much more satisfied with it than with IE, in speed, large view area, and download capabilities, firefox resumes downloads, unlike IE!! :)

Man the only time IE ever shows up for me is when a software program pops up a window. amazing how fast FF spreads. 15MILLION... Geez. But my roommate is too simple to even comprehend the difference between the two browsers... he just thinks its another thing i put on the computer to make life difficult for him... I wouldn't need Adaware as much... but he uses IE and is easy prey for viruses. Can't fault him... he's a west virginian bumpkin

Remember...15 million downloads doesn't mean 15 million users. I know I've downloaded firefox 1.0 at least 6 times but there are only 3 users at my house. (I like to try new linux distros quite often and end up having to download firefox and thunderbird each time).
Then again, I guess you might only download firefox once and have 6 users...or maybe a college campus downloads it once and installs it on 5000 university machines...maybe it all evens out in the end.

They've estimated it... I've got a friend who downloaded it once for 5 pc's .. I;ve downloaded it once for 3 pc's my self. they've estimated it so.. it's not hits. they could have 100 mil downloads... estimate 15mil..
so yeah.. maybe it will even out in the end.

They don't, they're a non-profit organization, not a company ;)
And objects/java applets not working are probably due to misconfiguration either on your side or the website's side.

they need to pay for the hosting... so the money has to come form somewhere...
Loads of Javascript functions only work in IE.. FF does not allow them because they could be a danger.. but I guess you could do some tweaking...
