Flat Image??

Whenever I make logos, they always look so flat, and boring.. take example the attached logo.

It looks ok now, but when I add it to stuff (like a webpage) it becomes flat and uninteresting. (www.bigbrotherlink.com for example)

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

colour usage around the logo, breathing space around the logo, text used with logo icon... many factors you have to think about to make sure the logo looks right each time you use it.

also the fact that you filled in the background with a white and added a white stroke around it kinda changes to the whole style of the logo..
