Hey all! I'm making a logo for the Swedish mountaineer Andreas Blomquist and I'm just looking for some feedback on them. So far Andreas' favourites are the first two.
TIA

Thanks slumgutt.
What font/type of font would you suggest?

Haha, actually I've changed my mind... the font is ok, but "the 7 summits" is kind of ruining the lines of the logo. And at closer inspection i also like number 4.
Try changing the color of the font on nr 1. Maybe a lighter color, but make sure the weight of the logo doesn't change from the bottom to the top.
1 or 4 is what i would go for.

they are nice, but I'm not sure if I like the colar and or the waveyness of the logo. The jaggies make it look unproffesional. Could you smooth out the moutains a little and have multiple moutains there mabey?
Cheers!

@ Slumgutt // Instead of increasing the letter width I'll change the spacing. That'll keep the font looking right. I'll also try a lighter font. Thanks for the help.
@ 3d Nirvana // You ever seen a smooth mountain? Mountains are all jaggy like that. The colour is pretty close to the colours of the guy's site. Also there are 7 mountains in the first two.

I like 2.
I think it looks better with the font spread a little more. The mountains look correctly proportioned (compared to 1, which I think looks too tall). I think it's a clever idea to actually have seven ridges.

About the 1st one, which I like most.
Maybe if you tried making "Blomquist" blue would make 3 text lines look less than 3.
I also agree with 3d Nirvana about that smooth mountain thing. You are totally right about mountains being jaggy, BUT you could keep them jaggy while putting a smooth overlay to it.
Gr8 job! ;)

Here's the finished article. Made exactly to the clients specifications.

Good job... not really my flavor but, I'm glad you got it to the client's liking. "The 7 Summits" thingy makes more sense now after seein it.
My critique would be... I font could be improved... if the font was more full then I think it would be better, 3-4 pt stroke behind it would do the trick. And too add to what 3DN was sayin... I feel the same he does about it, the logo sorta looks like something I have in one of my old art coloring books, I think it would've popped better if the lines were sharper and stylized.

Good jobYay! Praise from Simplistik! I love your logo work so that's cool.
I get what you mean about the stylised lines but my thinking was that it'd end up looking like just a group of triangles or something, and that it wouldn't be obvious that it was mountains. But yeah I know what you mean.
The font I liked at first but I'm not so sure about now. Problem with curvy text is that you can't edit it so It's kind of a huge job to change it now. Outlines I can do though.
Thanks for the critiques guys.
