Hey ya'll the Megans Law thing is up and running. It is a list of known sex offenders in your area. I think everyone should check it out if you live in Cali (and especially if you have children or younger siblings). You could have rapists and child molesters living on your block or area. I know I was shocked to see how many registered sex offenders live in my area.

im confused... i went to look up some names, and it asked me for my address.. and so after that, i clicked enter, and it prompted me for my name, so when i did that and clicked okay, it said: "Congratulations, you have successfully registered."

What does this mean??

You just registered as a sex offender. By law sex offenders must register a certain amount of hours after being released. If I were you I might want to give them a call to fix that. At least that is how the one in Arizona works. I used to have a sex offender down the block from us. Nice neighborhood too.

I have a friend who is a registered sex offender. It's a little ridiculous though. He had just turned 17 and his girlfriend was about to turn 16. Her parents caught them "doing the nasty", and her dad filed charges. In Arizona, if you're 16 or above and you're with someone 15 or below, it's statutory rape, regardless of consent. Sooooo he got tagged with a sex offender thing, and was put in juvie for like, 2 days. Lame.
