So I'm trying to install my old Logitech WIngman formula steering wheel. But it won't let me because I/O range is in conflict with another device.
Using WinXP

This old thing needs the old "game port" which is on my old sound card :P

The default I/O range for it is 0200-0207 but I can switch it to 0208 - 020F, 0210 - 0217 and 0218 - 021F as well but they're all in conflict with something.
I tried searching for the device that has one of those I/O ranges in the device manager and change that one but I can't seem to find anything... :-/

So... please help! The thing is just sitting in the corner doing nothing if I can' get it to work... can't sell it either cuz it's not worth anything. And I wanna play Underground2 with it :*(

Not sure what can be done Syko. According to some Logitech article, the Wingman doesn't come with IRQ presets...whatever that means! Though, I'm guessing that is why you are having this problem :)

Are there any drivers that could help you out? Also, try hooking it up to a spare PC to see if you get that same error.

k thx I'm willing to try anything...
The thing that most irritates me is that I can't find any device that would have the same i/o range...
Finding a spare computer around here is no picnic either ;)

You've got a couple options:

A) Log all of the IRQ ports used by your computer, and make **** sure that it's not a conflict. Also, try setting up a virtual IRQ port, and see if it recognizes it. Older products might not like it, but it's worth a shot.

B) Get an old computer

C) Get a new steering wheel

D) Don't play the game

BTW, what is the exact name of the wheel you have? I can only find articles on a "Logitech Wingman Formula Force GP". Let me know if that's what you have, or if it's something else. :)
