hey all!

I recently found this weird little plug for max. It exports interactive 3d for the web (even makes a little html page to make it easier)

check it! : www.turntool.com

they have a few good tutorials in there too :thumb: And it's quite easy to use.

I made these after 1 day with it: www.avalon-rev.dk

Mine runs smooth and I'm only using a corporate workstation. Annoying that it requires an active X control download though.

This is similar in quality to the freebie I got on a magazine a while back ('Wirefusion'). That particular one is a stand alone app though... not a plugin. It exports to a java applet.

Nice find Elisoe!

well I got it from my dad, the tech-dep where he works developed the Widex demo in the turntool gallery, of course that's just an early version, I got a link for the full... but I can't give it :( it's still hush-hush...

you can almost make an entire site out of it, if not for the forced download of the turntool plug :-/

and sadly it has issues with both FF and IE. But still a fun little toy :P

nice. but can't you just import your model into Director and use it's 3d capabilities? pretty sure it'd be easier and more compatible, not to mention dynamic and versatile. i've not done this myself, though...

Yeah, Director supports a shockwave 3D engine from memory so you've got dynamics and such. Who can afford the hefty pricetag though? I wish they'd take the 3D shockwave portion out and publish it seperately but I think it's all tied in with the lingo scripting language though so you have to get all the other crap that comes with it.

Director comes with a steep learning curve as well... I done a little with 'lingo' and it's not terribly easy to grasp the higher functions.

I have a FGL 9700 AGP video card. Ive never messed with this type of video card and have no clue if its good or not. Im running dual monitors, dont know if that matters.

edit:

wow, cool, i put the browser window in on my main monitor and it runs smooth as anything. Guess the secondary monitor doesnt work as well.
