Intro animation - in actionscript?

Hi folks out there...
I want an intro animation for my site.
I have 3 texts to appear one after another in sequence.
For every text a corresponding image should appear and disappear(alpha tween)
i dont want to use motion tweening.
Can anyone suggest how do i go about using actionscript?
Any help on this is really appreciated.

I'll see what I can write up, unless someone beats me to it. Shouldn't be too difficult though.
