Hi everyone. I am creating my online portfolio again (it was shut down becase I lost my backup files). It is near to finish. And I would love to hear some comment on the design and other things.
I haven't finished the intro, mp3 player (lower part) and some effects yet. But this site is very important for me because I am going to apply a university on CG, and it would be good if I also inform them about this site.
Any criticisms, ideas are strongly welcome!!
Thanks

PS: And by the way, please open the site with 1024*768, and in a normal window, if not you will definitely face with some bugs.

I like it, I'd reduce the banner size somewhat or have something more interesting going on there. Otherwise my only complaint is that you need to add spaces inbetween your paragraphs, it becomes like a big mush of text otherwise.

Use htmlText so that your links page actually works. Why should I have to copy/paste the links in my address bar. Also, what are the bars on the bottom for?

i think youve got a pretty solid start. i would do a little work on your typography (particularly on the contact page) and maybe add some sort of dropshadow or something behind the main site shell to make it "pop" a little bit off the white background.

oops, white background? There is a background, try www.digitouch.com.tr.tc please if you can't see the blue background.
Ok lskywalkr, I am going to do it. Just I did not work that much on the pages other than home.
The blue bars on the left are volume, the colored bars on the right are songs. It will be an audio player. I will finish it as soon as possible.

Ok, fonts, I am going to work on them.
I figured out the problem after thinking a lot (forgetting to check the codes). The problem is that background image is linked to my desktop not to the web site :) It should be ok now.

I've redesigned the links page. It would be great if you'd comment on it.

AH! Frames. (I'm more concerned about your HMTL part.) You should deffinately at least use tables. I recommend XHTML/CSS though. Want some help on how to figure that out?

Am I supposed to be seeing "_root.portfolio.resimler.1.onRelease = function(){" on the side of the page?

I think I forgot to delete that. Yeah, thanks Krilnon.
Kristopher I would definitely want some help, considering I don't have knowledge of XHTML/CSS. Where do I need tables I didn't understand that?

Well using tables would be XHTML.Transitional, and is ok. Like my site, www.krisgoser.com, is that. I use tables.
XHTML.Strict uses no tables and has a syntax that is compatible with 99% of the browsers out there.
Frames are not included as favorites for either.
Why do you ask? Well, looking at your site with Apple.OSX.Safari.1.2.4, the Flash part is totally off centered with your background, thus the site is exploding and not working. So, essentailly most of your Mac crowd is shot, becuase you used frames.
If you want help on how to construct it, I can help you out. I'll be back on the forums later tonight-ish.

you have an "_root.portfolio.resimler.1.onRelease = function(){" sitting to the left of the content, that's impressive. Nice mistake :D
Your bandwith has been exceeded, so I couldn't view any of your works.
Site could do with some more imagery, perhaps an interesting header.

I didnt think about Safari or any other browser. It would be great if you can help me on how to construct it, at least you can show me the way if you dont have time.
Yes dreeft I fixed that thing, and deleted linked images on the forums so you should be able to look at them by now. This was a whole site with troubles :asleep:

the design is a good start. i think it has more of a cartoony feel than a professional feel. i dunno if that's what you were goin for but that's how it feels to me.
i don't know that I like the fonts... for your logo it's fine but I don't think it works well for the nav fonts.
the transitions are simple and ok... some how could be improved, as it is also a little generic.
the arial in your site looks a little bad, seems to large... i would prolly change it to a pixel font.
safari doesn't display it correctly:
