Mostly for those of you in post-secondary education, but really it's useful to anyone doing research. It's still beta though :P

Actually it's pretty good. I'm using it right now for my work report. There are a lot of publications on there that I never found using regular Google search. The only downside is that the majority of the useful hits are for books, so you'd have to go find the actual book. But, that helps too because I would have only had two hard copy references otherwise. Now I know what to look for next time I go to a library. Google's awesome.

I consider myself a "Googleteer," but sometimes I run into publication problems, articles that are just whack etc. when I search for more academic items - I'm excited to see where they go with this as it could help. Right now a lot of students are limited to their College's library full-text search - what if searching were like that and it was freakin' Google!?

insane.

Strange you should mention that - they have a product called Google Search Appliance [link (http://www.google.com/appliance/)] which does exactly that kind of thing ;)

Now that is some interesting stuff.

What's next for google? Are they going to begin moving troops into major cities and declaring google law?

it's not cheaing if you learn from it. cheating would be taking the answers into a test, not researching what the test is on, beforehand.

google have had a lot of great ideas recently.
i'd love to see google buy microsoft ! lol !!
