I've been looking but can't find what I'm looking for, was hoping you guys could help.

Ok let me explain first. I work for a company who do insurance and shares sort of crap. We're good at it but it's not terribly intresting. Anyway we've recently come up with some new brochures but the problem is that the designer of the brochure is being asked to design a new web site for us.

Now he is NOT a web designer and never has been so he's just basically put the brochure forward as the design. Managements kinda happy with it...myself and the other developers aren't. Just a glance at the page and you can tell it's a brochure design, it's not unique it looks like every other brochure and to be honest if you see the brochure and then the site your gonna think the people who developed the site (i.e. us) must be stupid.

So I was gonna put forward a report saying how bad it would be for a brouchre design to be our web page design, how bad we'd look as a media lab, how we'd basically look like d**k's and I was hoping to find some sites that would display what we could be capable of, what we could produce, a site that would make not only us but the company look good

I've looked in cool sites forum but it's mostly games and that sort of thing, was hoping for some sites that your company proxy server would let you look at...mind you if you can't think of any send me the address anyway

so any sites that might be appropriate would be good...they don't have to be financial sites, just tell me about a link and I'll decide what ones to use...please, I'm desperate...otherwise we're gonna go ahead with a design I hate...thanks guys :thumb:

Yeah that's a neat design. It'd be better with more efficient coding without all those tables..

yeah these are the sort of sites I was thinking of, anymore please :beam:

also wondering if anyone had seen an example of the kinda site I'm talking about, the brochure web design. I'm not going to criticise this site or make fun of the designer of the site...I only want an example, something to be able to say "Look, this was obviously a brochure too and you can tell" and have people go "Oh yeah so you can" cause when they do that convincing them becomes easier.
