HAHAHAAHHA!

This is great! I just showed everyone in the lab the JR Auto Sales site. You should wait for it to load, it's spectacular!

Sorry man, keep at it, you'll get better.

I waited ^.^ just to see why is it so big. After seeing it.....not worth the wait.

ok......

first, I hate your preloader thing of the four diff figures (loaded, still to load, etc) you don't need this much info. A simple loading percentage thing is sufficent

second, the image in the background during loading is blurry and ugly

third, sites too big and takes far too long to load. People won't wait around for it to load they'll just leave...especially when they see the loading page

fourth, I like the man in the background but thats it. Your colours are ugly, buttons too small, you use button colours you've used nowhere else, the site is an odd size, it made me want to leave it straight away

there is hope though, you're obviously good with flash but bad with design. I'd concentrate on getting better at design. Either buy some books, magazines or go through the SOTW site and read the mods critique of the sites in there, perhaps that will give you some ideas

I'd ditch this site though, it's horrible. :(

By the way, you should always accept negative feedback if you deserve it

it's a nice try.... looks very amature. Change the loading screen, dont make it fill the screen, take the loading time down a little.

why is the file sooo big??!

on the auto site pls dont tell me you have all the audio tracks loaded in there!

Cheers!

I think it's too big because of the movie trailer thing.

ok, i can't really criticise too mush because i have know design snese either but that site is far to massive. 4mb is wayyy over the limit for a single section. before you do anything else cut it down. remember, a lot of people (myself included) still have dial-up.
edit: also you might want to bump the framerate or soemthing to make those buttons just a lot smoother
edit: ps. make it so you can just click the button, not the text, to move around
edit: using a free email address is NOT the way to enspire confidence in a potential client
edit: i have to stop editing this post

4 mb over the limit you should see the other site he made, JR auto sales, at a whooping 35 megs, that's a CD-ROM Buddy! i mean i'm on a T3 line here at work, and it's taking a little while longer to load hehehe.... so imageing well let's not image ppl on dial-up!

I don't want to be that firm that asks him for a corporate site :rabbit:

Oh.... maaaan.... I have no clue where to start. This is the exact thing I was talkin about in a post, a little bit ago... ppl starting up a design business, that prolly shouldn't... well just search and read the post.

Where to start... this is a very poorly designed site.

You must have an extremely massive screen resolution, I'm running at 1600x1200 and that site is terribly large.

Your site makes no sense what so ever. Is your main attraction your buttons or your portfolio. Cause all I see are huge buttons.

Portfolio is spelled wrong.

Font choice is absolutely horrid. You're using 7 fonts I think I counted and prolly more that don't look good together.

Those bevels are so high, they look like an arial view of a mountain.

I don't understand what the little broken things are supposed to be? They don't even match the site.

Your pricing is extremely high for, the ability and the quality of work you show. However, if someone is willing to pay that price go for it... but God help us.

The loading/animation is extremely slow.

The hit area of the buttons are bad... make it the button not the text.

I think you need to reasses (hehe I said *sses :P) your abilites. Like I've said b4 everyone and their brother is trying to start a design studio cause they have PS and Flash. I think you need to take a step back look at some actual design studios and compare the quality. You don't have to be amazing, but this IMO hasn't scratched the surface of good design studio. There is a HUGE lack of creativity and design on this site. It needs to completely revamped. I would suggest making it just a personal site and not a studio site.

Sorry... this is about as nice as I could make this post.
