Just thought I'd let you all know that MapQuest Sucks Hairy Pimply Arse! Yesterday I used their driving directions and I ended up over an hour away from where I wanted to go and missed a very important meeting.

After realizing that mapquest was probably inaccurate I double and triple checked everything by crossreferencing printed maps and I even showed the directions to several people in both cities (the city I wanted to go to and the city that the mapquest driving directions sent me to) and every single person confirmed that they were royally ****ed up so I decided I should contact them.

I emailed them and all their partnership companies and was expecting them to investigate the error in their system however the response I got basically stated that I was wrong and that they weren't going to investigate it. What a bunch of maroons!

I'm sorry to say that the error still exists and will remain as I don't think mapquest really gives a rats arse about the accuracy of their directions.

Anyways, I just thought I'd let you all know that you can't trust this crappy companies inaccurate information.

O btw the city I was going to isn't a small town.

Beware!

I stopped using mapquest for similar catastrophes, and found Rand McNally www.randmcnally.com (you know, the mapmaker company ;)). I have never been lost of off course since I've used them. They are DEAD ON accurate and I tell anyone who wants to listen to start using them instead.

I went to find my friends house after he moved, and we went to where the map-quest map showed, and it was some ghetto type neighborhood. I'd been to his house before, and it was huge, definitely wouldn't go in that neighborhood. (His dad is a neurosurgeon, his mom is a doctor too, so they're pretty well off.)

Beware fester! They'll give you phony information when you're least expecting it.

Thankfully I was able to get another meeting with this client and I feel good that he won't hold this against me.

Yup! Not only do they sometimes give incorrect directions, but they also do a horrible job of updating their database.... there have been times when new highways or large roads have been added to areas saving massive amounts of time, but they failed to add it! Ive even encountered them telling me to drive down a street that has been ripped up and no longer exists (and according to locals had been that way for like 18 months!).

They Blow Goats!
