I downloaded the Sothink SWF Decompiler (http://www.download.com/Sothink-SWF-Decompiler/3000-6676-10318101.html?tag=l), which allows you to open and view the structure of a .swf file. (the unregistered version limits the amount of actionscript you can view). It even can resave as a .fla file.
Does it concern anyone that when you host your Flash code and applictions, it is basically open sourced, whether you want it to be or not?

definetly. i hate what these companies are doing to Flash Developers. it makes your work into an open book that anyone can read and take credit for. it violates every ethical code in the industry. personally i beleive that these kind of companies are more guilty (of what ever you wish to call this ridiculous behavior) than the people using them.
edit:by the way, i think that you probably should have posted this in "random" or "ordered"

No. I went into Flash knowing its an open format - just like with HTML and/or javascript. Its no different.

no, i usually don't mind giving someone my code, unless they're going to rip it call it their own.

yea.. look on the bright side.. at least its 70 bucks.. that'll at least deter a few people from sneaking a peak at your source.
it would be nice if macromedia increased security in the next version... but i dunno if that's even really possible...
from what i know about programming in the end Everything can be decompiled back to assembly at some point.
maybe someone with more programming experience could elaborate on this?

whoa. Here is a thread regarding Flare (http://www.kirupaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44313), which is a free Actionscript decompiler. (AS only, it does not reverse engineer the file like Sothink does.)
