New at Pixel art

If u have it, use photoshop, pic up the pencil tool, zoom your stage to the max, let's draw pixel by pixel...there is a good tutorial about this here around.

any program that'll let you draw pixel by pixel. I use Paint most of the time, but it's pretty limited. I've never gone into any really detailed pixel drawings.

Photoshop is the way to go. You have to draw pixel by pixel and nut use any effects or colour burn brushes, that's "cheating" ;)
Having said that, MS Paint works just as well I suppose.

i don't know if this happens with photoshop as well, but when i save as a jpeg or gif in Paint i get funky color problems. is that an issue w/ photoshop?

the only problem is that most of the little animated gifs i make are done at work when i don't have anything else to do, and all i have here is paint :(

anyways, i'd listen to the rest of these guys and use photoshop :P

Colour problem?
I'm not really sure, have you got an example (screenshot) maybe? Might be something to do with your colour settings/profile.

here's what i mean. first one is the original bmp, the second is when i save it as a gif. i don't think Paint has too many color settings to play around w/. :P

If you do a Google search you'll get some results of tutorials. It's pretty much just zooming way in and making a drawing a click at a time. (And for the large font size: Sorry, I just couldn't resist :to: )
