Knowing google, they'de make their own, somehow much better, web browser! I can't wait!

But it's Google! I bet it'll be 100% IE compatible with speeds of Mozilla...

Google is funny.....

I mean all they really have is their seach engine....

I used to use Altavista until I found it was powered by Google.
If I wanted to find something I used to use 2-3 search engines to make sure I found everything. Now I only use Google, and considering all they do for me is provide search results, which many others have done. It's funny that I feel loyalty towards Google.

Hell if I saw a Google toaster on the shelf I would buy it over another brand...

I have 4 browsers installed on my linux desktop: Firefox, Konqueror (think Safari) , Opera, and MSIE (thru Wine). I can write standards-based sites that look exactly the same in three of them, and degrade gracefully in less capable browsers (like Dillo and Lynx).

Guess which browser plays badly with this scheme :-/

Anyway, chances are they would use the Gecko engine, because for the past few years they've been big sponsors of Mozilla.

According to neowin (or whatever other news source), Google already hired a Sun and 4 former IE programmers.
