load movie question

Why is it when i use loadMovie, the movie clips inside of the movie i have loaded dont work? This is such a stupid question i know, but ive tried like 20 different things and nothing is working.

EDIT- nevermind, i just changed all my _roots to _parent in the loaded clip. that fixed it.

when you load a movie inside another the photograms per second speed of the loaded movies adjusts to be the same as in the root movie.
but maybe thats not the problem...
