Is this possible in flash?

A clients want me to produce a web page which includes recording and playback of audio (embedded) into a web browser. Example: person clicks on a link and brings-up the recorder/play. With a mic attached to the computer the person can record and then when finished can click on the play button to listen to what he / she recorded.

Not sure if this can be accomplished in flash or not, please can someone advise.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Uhm.. I don't think it's possible with flash, but I bet it's possible with Director.
Flash can use webcams and sound but I don't think it can store the sound.. I think.
