All those colors'n'lines irritate the eyes, to my mind. Definately, not my style. Don't like at all.

 yeah that poll is rigged indeed
the site isn't that bad, i think if you put more time into a design you might have a better outcome. the idea's are there, but the site itself isn't clean. very messy.
decent start, i'd think about giving it a face lift as far as design goes. seems like you have a php like system for the posts, can't really see how it works, but it looks like its running properly.

Yes the colours are not my cup of tea. Have you viewed in Netscape 7.1 ( ok ok who cares about Netscape...) If you did, you will see that the browser is not that happy with the site.

It's not bad for a start. The header could use some sprucing up, I must agree on the striped background that it just doesn't work. Ecspecially using black and red. Try something softer that doesn't draw your eyes to it. It will help the readability and the usability of the site.
I use IE6 1024x768 and when I load the page I get no scrollbars, in a site like this being so long it could be a problem. Perhaps a bug? The Shoutbox header and footer are not there.
The colors aren't bad, but with a bit of playing of the color it would make the site a lot easier to read and use. Take in mind what colors stand out more and what colors are softer. Use this to your advantage to bring out certain parts of your text/background.
You have a great start and some design ideas going on. With a little work everything will turn out awesome!

Nice layout, but yeah, sorry bud-- first rule of legibility, never use white text on black, it is proven to cause eye-strain and fatigue. If you add some more white-space, or ahem.. black space in this case, between your news-updates it will make a huge difference.
Keep going its looking good.

Jasninder, of course NS 7.1 is a pain in the neck. But a web monopolised by IE is not a laughing matter either. You read the papers ever? Or perhaps you are a microsoft employee?

Hey Pimpsta,
I agree with Pixi, my eyes got tired the first minute i got on. Maybe try changing the text to black and whatever you have as black to white. White always keeps things looking clean and fresh. ;)

I like it not bad....maybe some more content from the home page to other sections when u click on navigation, cause it seems to me that u spend lot of time on the home page and less on the rest....also red text on black background can be sometimes hard to see!
