Right, i have just had the news that im gonna have my tonsils out, and im scared :( i dont wanna go through with it. On one hand, it will be good because i wont get ill as much, but on the other hand im scared of hospitals and doctors altogether
I just need your opinion on this, and someway of making me less scared

you should have gotten em' out when you were young..thats what docs recommend in india anyway, my younger bro had his tonsils operation but he was really young, yea i have heard it makes u weak, holds the body growth and never lets you lead a healthy life...my brother was also really weak but after his operation he developed himself somuch that he represented india at school international games (he was an athelete...100 mts, 200 mts and long jump) :)

its only 30 min painless operation at max and you get to eat a lot of icecream afterwards so thats a bright side if you need one :P

my mate just had his out and hes 18 so hes kinda of had them out late, it was the school leaving do as well a few days later and he couldn't go cos he was 'sore'. He's ok now and hes loving it.

Don't think negative, think posative i.e. the benefits and the hospital issue will subside.

I've only ever been to hospital once and that was for my tonsils, and I've been fine ever since.

well not to scare you or anything, but O My God it hurts so horrible bad, It is almost unbearable, don't let everyone else lie to you, they are just trying to make you feel good, but trust me it dosen't.....no just kiddin. I actually dont know, I am the only one of all my friends who hasn't gotten mine out yet, but they all said it didnt hurt at all, and they got to miss some school and eat tons of ice cream. hope you feel better...
