If by some magical force you could have the perfect singing voice, who's voice would you take (living or dead) :h:

Mines would probably be Freddie Mercury.
Man that guy could sing, ballad or rock..no problem for him :thumb:

Or...Kelly Jones from the Sterophonics :thumb:

Serj Tankian from System of a Down. My man can go from singing like a choir boy to a sadistic nut in .3 seconds

If by some magical force I was given the perfect voice, I'd go out and make my own albums =)

But for the sake of conversation, I think I'd have to go with Jan Johnston. She's a British pop singer with the most beautiful voice. Angelic if you will :)

wow, someone else who's heard of Jan Johnston. isn't she great? Most of the stuff i've heard from her was from Paul Oakenfold.

anyway, if i had a beautiful singing voice (:sure:) I'd go on american idol and tell that douche (forgot his name atm) to kiss my ***.

I think Sarah McLaughlin has a beautiful voice, although her voice coming out of me might make people uncomfortable.

Do you mean the weird bald guy who goes "Come on Barbie lets go party!"

Well at the moment I have an angelic voice. jk. Probably any one of the beegees, johnathon from korn, and justin Timberlake or britney spears...or both, that be great!

RabBell - though that is one of his less than magnificent performances, yes, yes I do mean him.

oh...ok then, sounds like a cool job. Get a hot girl who can kind of sing and you just stand in the back going "Well Barbie, this partys only getting started" :thumb:

strange that there's not a lot of female voices mentioned in the list?
or dead people, though I willl admit to not knowing everyone who's been mentioned

sometimes when the King is playing everyone does their Elvis impression but he's not on the list...kinda weird :puzzled:

I highly approve of your choice of Kelly Jones - that mans' voice is just to die for. :)

Personally I'd like to be able to sing like Madonna (she's so versatile and still sounding fantastic). Or maybe the lead singer of Evanescence.

Actually I'd just like to be able to sing. :P Normally I sound like a cat being dragged through smewhere a cat should not be dragged...

And where exactly should a cat not be dragged?

Your brits and your strange way of explaining things.

probably Jim Morrison from the Doors. Don't like the music but always liked his voice. Or Ian Astbury from The Cult.

Right now I'm listening to Taking Back Sunday and that's the only voice I can hear right now, and I do wish I had that voice. kinda whiny, but kinda edgy, full of emotion. Maybe the lead singer from the Used also. And I agree about the System singers voice; he amazes me.

i really don't care who i sound like... if i could only hold a note :m:

... hmmm maybe it's about time to enroll in that little thing called voice lessons...

oh man kinda off topic, but my friend (amazing singer) sounds sooo much like the lead singer of Evanescence. like it's insane. but ya.

Oh my now just reading that made me blush . . .

:P

I'd love to sing like Bob Marley - talk about a distinctive voice! And Ani D. has some incredible range and rhythm IMO. Dead people? How 'bout Satchmo? He had an incredible voice and that wasn't even the highlight of his talents.

I don't get it......

Well I do but I protest my innocence!!!!!!

Singing wise Martin Gore - not the best range in the world but is Soulful and I think his writing is genius in a warped kinda way hence the Ivor Novello for lifetime work

ever heard him live Kit :h:
myself and my better half saw them at the Edinburgh festival about 2 years ago and he sounds exactly the same live. An amazing show, Handbags & Gladrags and local boy in the photograph sounded fantastic live, that band kicks a*s :thumb:

I'd love to sing like Bob Marley
