well they keep saying that the technology isnt advanced enough to make a worthy sequal but I think thats just BS. I woudlnt doubt that it'd be the next big thing youd see coming out of Bliz.

I hope they do continue with the RTS style of games such as WarCraft and StarCraft. RPGs are good, but I don't want Blizzard to abandon the RTS style of games in favor of FPS and MMORPGs :(

I have the starcraft battle chest and warcraft 3. I personally feel that blizzard started to run out of ideas after starcraft because the number of similarities I could draw between wc3 and sc were unbelievably high. Mind you, it's still an awesome game even if it is only starcraft in the past essentially.

you might be right coppertop but almost everything is differnt in the gameplay manner.
for ex. Food in Warcraft is much smaller, and the creation of units is more expensive. whereas food in Starcraft is GIGANTIC and Creation of units is like making a Log Cabin out of Ziti.
another thing is that where Starcraft is based on the 2:1 Ratio in war you basically have to have more stronger units then the other guy, and hope you still have enough to kill off the rest of the Empire.
Warcraft you use your Units more strategiclly to fight off the enemy, aware that if you lose that unit it's gonna cost you a Arse full of Wood and Gold. also alot more Mana Draining effects that focus your Microing skills.

I think you guys are right. Blizzard if definitly running out of ideas . . . cuz what about Starcraft:Ghost i think that was their newest attempt at the next greatest attempt at a starcraft game and i can't really think of any creative new ideas for a starcraft game either, so my guess is that their isn't going to be a starcraft 2.

Games such as SC and W3 are still popular. There is really nothing wrong with Blizzard simply building upon their old franchises. I am sure if SC2 featured some newer characters, a new single player campaign, and continued Battle.net enhancements, none of us would mind.
The graphics in SC were not all that bad, and they had a nice pixelly look. Same goes for WC3. TFT was great, and if Blizzard would simply continue to introduce new add-ons, I am sure people would not complain.
If I were head of Blizzard, this is what I would do.
1. Stop SC: Ghost. I think games like Halo, Half-Life, BF1942, and Unreal do a great job of innovating in the FPS arena.
2. Port SC to the War3 game engine. War3 includes cutscenes and secret areas where SC characters like marines and a hydralisk can be seen. I am certain that SC based on the War3 engine will not only be popular, it won't be as difficult for Blizzard to make new graphics as opposed to writing a new game engine from scratch.
3. Continue offering free campaign extensions if a full expansion set is not possible. One example is the Orc campaign that was a free download for TFT.
Then again, that's why I am not head of Blizzard :P
Right now, with respect to Blizzard and WC3, if they told me to jump, I would be like "how high?" I am sure that I and others would not mind spending more to buy extra full-featured additions to the game. It's not as if many of us think that SC and War3 are bad. Why kill something that is popular?

Oh that's right! SC: ghost!!! I totally forgot about that! Man I can't wait for that to hit Xbox.
But hey, how come no one mentions Diablo? That was the best Blizzard game ever created, well next to Warcraft II.

concerning www.necromanthus.com
I doubt the warcraft thingy is his work. it looks more like he just put it on his website, since he also has Jesti sports on the site and the website doesn't really rock.
