Phonicpod.com Beta Site UP! I need critiques!

hello out there.

After a lot of learning... I've finally put my first full flash site online, i was going for something different in the looks department... and was wondering what other people thunk about it.

There's still a few bug's to iron out / unfinished parts, and the contact form doesn't send me anything if a user presses enter in the message field, but otherwise it should be in stable enough form. :)

Oh, and no sound yet. :whistle:

sweet site and i like the name... only crits are that the intro is a tad long, and the building doesn't go w/ the vector very well.. also, have you thought about the rocket ship being used for something other than pizazz? also, take the selectable off the loaders...

really good job! might wanna change the backgrounds, tho.. not really liking them that much..

That looks great. Very original compared to most of the newer stuff coming out. But the rocket looks like it came from a clipart CD and kinda brings down the site a bit.

....loose the rocket and it gets my seal of approval.

Thanks for the quick feedback guys! Ok, so it seems my rocket/logo does indeed suck the big one. I'm working on something new. :)

Anyone think the site just looks too monotone in colour?(backrounds etc) as i was thinking of giving them a rehaul also.

The animation and graphics look good as well as the content ;) However there are a few things i would like you to consider in my opinion

1) FPS
2) The white background
3) The menu buttons (they look similarly like k10k's)

The circles are ok as they fit well into the website but its been overused lately.

wow, nice site man, really. i on the other hand like the rocket, it looks a bit out of place with the rest of the site when it's moving, but once you see the logo, it makes perfect sense.
i love the preloaders, love the transitions, love the colorscheme, love the backgroundpics
my rating: 9/10 (you get 1 extra when you work on the intro length ;))

Animations tek way too long imo. Also you might wanna cosider making your Portfolio image/website links as _blank. That way your visitors don't have to sit thru the whole home page animation all over again each time they view a portfolio piece.;)

lol i reckon its brilliant i don't actually mind the rocket looks good to me and how u birng the attention to the menu appearing is quite kool lol but anything that building annoys me

As others have said, the rocket ship and the building don't fit at all. Other then that it is really good, and the transitions are very good. Very good for a first try.

I like the site. Only issue was in the portfolio section. Make those "visit site" links open a _blank window when going to your live sites. yes yes, I know you can right click to open in new window...
Anyways, kindof a buzz kill having to go in and have the flash reload all of those pages all over again...

My 2 cents.

i really like your site...i like the originality in the design...that was refreshing to see.....giving me a few ideas on how to be different...but my negatives are what most of everyone said already ...especially the intro takin so long.....i would speed everything up a tad bit...or maybe that's just me trippin.....but overall...very different i like :)

Very good and eyec-catching.. I have no issues with the rocket except it's colors could be the green that we see in the background images...

The one thing which I don't really like is the overall speed of transitions, I like when things are displayed a bit faster, without going through a whole process

Nice job! I liked how the page transitions didn't take a long time, unlike some other sites where the transitions are so long you can fall asleep. (2a)
